Texas Instruments high-side current sense amplifier in SOIC 8-pin package. Features I2C interface, 26V common mode, and -40°C to 125°C range.
The Texas Instruments Current Sense Amplifier is a high-side, bi-directional, zero-drift current shunt and power monitor featuring an I²C- or SMBUS-compatible interface. This advanced device monitors both shunt voltage drop and bus supply voltage, complete with programmable conversion times and filtering options for versatile application.
A programmable calibration value, combined with an internal multiplier, enables direct readouts of current in amperes. An additional multiplying register calculates power in watts. The interface features 16 programmable addresses, whilst the device senses across shunts on buses varying from 0 to 26V. Operating on a single 3 to 5.5V supply, it draws a maximum of 1mA of supply current, making it highly efficient.
