High-side current shunt monitor, SOT-23, 2.7V-36V, 120dB CMRR. Ideal for automotive, portable and power management.
The Texas Instruments INA138NA/250 is a unipolar, high-side current shunt monitor in a compact 5-pin SOT-23 package. It converts a differential input voltage into a current output, which is then converted back to a voltage using an external load resistor, allowing any gain from 1 to over 100 to be set with a single resistor.
Designed for current shunt measurement, this device also opens up creative applications in measurement and level shifting. Its low quiescent current of 25µA enables the power supply to be connected to either side of the measurement shunt with minimal error, enhancing flexibility in system design.
Key Features
This current shunt monitor is ideal for a wide range of applications, including automotive, communications networking, portable devices, power management, and consumer electronics. Its robust design and high precision make it a reliable choice for engineers.
Note: This device has limited built-in ESD protection. Leads should be shorted together or the device placed in conductive foam during storage or handling to prevent electrostatic damage to the MOS gates.
