The Texas Instruments SN74HCT157N is a high-speed quadruple 2-line to 1-line data selector and multiplexer integrated circuit. This versatile logic component contains integrated inverters and drivers to facilitate full data selection across its four independent output gates. A separate strobe (G) input is provided for enhanced control, allowing a complete 4-bit word to be selected from one of two distinct sources and efficiently routed to the four parallel outputs. Designed for robust performance, this IC features high-current outputs capable of driving up to 15 Low-Power Schottky (LSTTL) loads.
This device is engineered for efficiency and reliability. It offers a typical propagation delay (tpd) of just 15 nanoseconds, ensuring rapid signal processing. It is characterised by low power consumption, with a maximum current draw of 80 µA, and provides a solid output drive capability of ±6 mA at 5V. The inputs feature a very low maximum input current of 1 µA and are fully TTL-voltage compatible, simplifying integration into existing digital systems.
