The Arduino Alvik is a robot designed specifically for programming and robotics education. Powered by the Arduino Nano ESP32 microcontroller, it supports diverse learning paths through MicroPython, Arduino C, and block-based coding, enabling users to explore robotics, IoT, and AI. It simplifies coding and complex robot projects, allowing users of all levels to engage with robotics and programming.
The robot is equipped with a 32-bit STM32 Arm® Cortex®-M4 MCU. Sensory capabilities include a VL53L7CX Time-of-Flight sensor with a 90° wide Field of View, an LSM6DSOX IMU module with a 3D digital accelerometer and gyroscope, alongside ambient light, RGB colour, and proximity sensors.
High-precision motors with hall effect encoders provide speeds of up to 13cm/s. An 18650 rechargeable Li-Ion battery is included for portable power. For expanding capabilities, the robot features I2C Grove and Qwiic connectors, alongside Wi-Fi and Bluetooth LE wireless connectivity.
As a cross-discipline tool, it bridges education and the future of robotics, supported by CSTA and NGSS-aligned free courses. The product has dimensions of 43 mm in height, 33 mm in width, and 15 mm in depth, and weighs 1433 grams.
