Bidirectional voltage level translator breakout board, supports 1.2V–5.5V, ideal for microcontrollers & embedded systems.
The SPARKFUN ELECTRONICS TXB0104 Voltage Level Translator Breakout Board provides a simple and effective solution for converting voltage levels between different systems. Ideal for embedded applications, this breakout board features the Texas Instruments TXB0104 module, a bidirectional voltage level translator with automatic direction sensing.
This 4-bit, non-inverting translator operates between two separate configurable power supply rails, making it highly versatile. It supports input voltage ranges of 1.2V to 3.6V on A Port and 1.65V to 5.5V on B Port (VCCA <= VCCB), ensuring compatibility with a wide range of devices.
Key features include VCC isolation—if either VCC input is at GND, all outputs enter a high-impedance state, preventing potential damage. Additionally, the OE input circuit is referenced to VCC for straightforward control. With low power consumption (5µA max ICC), this breakout board is efficient and practical for energy-sensitive applications.
All pins are broken out for easy access, simplifying prototyping and connection to other components. Please note that the product includes the breakout board only.
