The Brainboxes Ltd SW-584 Industrial Gigabit Ethernet Switch is a robust and reliable networking solution designed for demanding industrial, vehicular, and marine environments. Featuring a compact, DIN rail mountable design, it provides seamless connectivity with four Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 ports and one Gigabit SFP port for flexible network expansion.

Utilise the SFP port with optional modules (not included) to connect to a wide variety of fibre optic and copper cable types, enabling high-speed data transmission over extended distances where standard network cables fall short. Fibre optic connections offer immunity to electrical and magnetic interference, ensuring data integrity in electrically noisy settings.

Built for resilience, the switch features galvanically isolated Ethernet ports, with each port magnetically isolated at 1500VRMS for superior protection against power surges and ground loops. Its dual-input redundant power supply accepts a wide range from +5V DC to +30V DC, allowing it to be powered via a USB supply or directly from a 24V factory floor source, ensuring continuous operation.

The unit boasts an extended operating temperature range of -40°C to +80°C, making it suitable for harsh environments. Its slim-profile IP20-rated non-conducting polyamide case is ideal for industrial use, while the integrated DIN rail mounting with a ground connection and removable, numbered screw terminal block simplifies installation and wiring.

Designed for plug-and-play operation, no software configuration is required. Features like automatic MDI/MDI-X crossover on all ports and SFP port power overcurrent protection further enhance its reliability and ease of use, providing a cost-effective and future-proof networking backbone.
