The COMUS PRA/240/30 Reed Proximity Switch is a compact and reliable sensing solution, featuring a 5mm sensing range and a durable blue nylon 66 case. This switch is activated by a moving magnet, allowing it to detect movement in multiple directions. When the magnet approaches the operate distance, the normally open, cylindrical reed contacts close; moving the magnet away returns the contacts to their original position.
With its 10W/VA maximum switching capacity (resistive) and 150mΩ maximum contact resistance, this switch is well-suited for a variety of low-power applications. It operates within a temperature range of -25°C to 90°C for storage and -20°C to 85°C during operation, making it versatile for different environments.
The sensor is supplied with 2 x round 0.14mm² PVC covered cables (grey and insulated brown/white), and mounting is via cable. This proximity switch is ideal for position and limit sensing, linear actuators, security systems, and door switch applications in industrial, sensing, and instrumentation settings.
