Dormer E500 HSS Coarse Tap, 6mm Straight Flute (Second)
Dormer E500 HSS straight flute tap (6mm) for hand/machine use. Class 2 tolerance, ideal for through/blind holes in most materials.
The Dormer E500 is a high-quality HSS coarse tap with straight flutes, designed for both hand and machine use. This versatile tool can efficiently tap through or blind holes in most materials, making it an essential addition to any toolkit.
When working with blind holes, it's recommended to use straight flute taps in sets for optimal results. The E500 second tap works as part of a three-tap series, alongside the taper/first tap and the bottoming/plug tap.
Crafted from high-speed steel (HSS), this tap ensures durability and long-lasting performance. The bright surface treatment provides excellent corrosion resistance, while the class 2 tolerance guarantees a precise 6H fit for professional-grade results.
