ForgeFix Zinc Plated M16 Threaded Rod, 1m
Durable zinc-plated M16 threaded rod (1m) for construction, manufacturing, and chemical fixing. Complies with DIN 975 standards.
The ForgeFix Zinc Plated M16 Threaded Rod is a durable and cost-effective fastening solution, designed for a wide range of applications. Bright zinc plated for increased corrosion resistance, these rods ensure longevity and reliability even in demanding environments.
Conforming to DIN 975 standards, this threaded rod offers superior strength and compatibility with various fastening systems, including Drop-In Anchors and Masonry Anchor Shields. Its versatility makes it ideal for both construction and manufacturing projects.
Applications
Widely used in the soft furnishing trades where strong timber connections are essential, this threaded rod is also extensively employed in playground and climbing wall manufacturing. Additionally, it serves as an excellent solution for chemical fixing applications requiring non-standard sizes.
Anti-Corrosion Benefits
Zinc plating acts as a protective barrier, preventing oxidation of the underlying metal. Even if the coating is damaged, the zinc serves as a sacrificial anode, further enhancing durability. The resulting zinc oxide forms a stable, non-reactive layer—similar to those found on aluminium and stainless steel—maintaining the rod’s structural integrity.
