ForgeFix Zinc Plated M6 x 16mm Roofing Bolts - Pack of 25
Zinc-plated M6 x 16mm roofing bolts from ForgeFix, corrosion-resistant for indoor/outdoor use. Includes square nuts.
The ForgeFix Zinc Plated Roofing Bolts feature a low-profile mushroom head and come with square nuts for secure fastening. Their bright zinc plating enhances corrosion resistance, making them suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, even in exposed weather conditions.
These double-slotted roofing bolts are versatile, extending beyond roofing to general joining applications. For optimal performance, use a clearance drill bit 1mm larger than the bolt diameter. The zinc coating acts as a sacrificial anode, preventing oxidation and ensuring longevity, much like the protective oxide layers on aluminium and stainless steel.
Key Features:
- Bright zinc-plated finish for rust resistance
- Low-profile mushroom head with double slots
- Includes square nuts for secure fastening
- Suitable for exposed outdoor use
- M6 x 16mm bolt size – pack of 25
For installation, ensure the slotted screwdriver tip matches the screw slot width to avoid damaging the bolt. Flared-tip drivers work for most applications, while parallel tips are better for countersinking.
