Its high-performance Tungsten Carbide Tipped (TCT) design ensures exceptional durability and performance, even when drilling materials up to 50 Rockwell C hardness.
The four-facetted ground C2 Carbide Tip provides low drilling pressure and perfect centring, improving both the accuracy and lifespan of the drill bit. The Chrome Vanadium Steel body, hardened to 56 Rockwell C, enhances the bit’s strength and resistance to wear.
For optimal performance and extended bit life, coolant use is recommended. Irwin suggests a 3-6% emulsion to keep the bit cool during operation.
