The Microchip 24LC1025-I/P is a high-performance 1 Mbit (128k x 8) Serial Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory (EEPROM). Engineered for advanced, low-power applications, it operates across a broad voltage range of 2.5V to 5.5V, making it highly versatile for various embedded systems, from personal communications to complex data acquisition.

This device offers superior flexibility with both byte write and page write capabilities, supporting up to a 128-byte page write buffer for efficient data handling. It features a maximum page write time of just 5ms. The EEPROM supports both random and sequential reads within specific address boundaries (0000h to FFFFh and 10000h to 1FFFFh), providing developers with extensive control over data access.

A key feature is its I²C™-compatible 2-wire serial interface, which allows for easy integration and communication. Functional address lines enable cascading of up to four devices on the same data bus, allowing for a total system memory expansion of up to 4 Mbit. The inclusion of a hardware write-protect pin offers an added layer of data security.

Designed for reliability in demanding environments, the device includes Schmitt trigger inputs for superior noise suppression and output slope control to eliminate ground bounce. It boasts robust protection with over 4000V ESD protection and an endurance rating of more than 1 million erase/write cycles, backed by data retention exceeding 200 years. Its low power consumption is highlighted by a maximum read current of 450μA and a standby current of just 5μA.

Housed in a standard 8-pin DIP (Dual In-line Package) for through-hole mounting, it is suitable for prototyping, industrial controls, and applications requiring long-term data storage without constant power.
