Digital temperature sensor with SPI interface, 13-bit resolution, ±1°C accuracy, SOT-23 package.
The MICROCHIP TC77-3.3MCTTR is a serially accessible digital temperature sensor, ideally suited for low-cost and small form-factor applications. Temperature data is converted from the on-board thermal sensing element and made available at any time as a 13-bit two's complement digital word, providing a resolution of 0.0625°C per LSB. Communication with the TC77 is accomplished via a 3-wire SPI™/Microwire compatible interface.
This sensor offers a temperature accuracy of ±1.0°C (maximum) over the range of +25°C to +65°C, and can measure temperatures from -55°C to +125°C. The device features a low operating current of 250µA (typical) and a shutdown mode with a maximum current of 1µA, making it an energy-efficient choice for thermal management. The SHUTDOWN bits in the configuration register activate this low-power standby mode, which is ideal for battery-powered or power-sensitive designs.
Key Benefits
With its small size, low installed cost, and ease of use, the TC77 is an ideal choice for implementing thermal management in a wide variety of systems.
