PiTraffic Traffic Light Kit for Raspberry Pi

The PiTraffic Traffic Light Kit is designed with education in mind, offering a simple and low-cost project that encourages first-time users to take their initial steps in using hardware with the Raspberry Pi. This fully-assembled kit simplifies the process: just plug the traffic light stands into the pre-set positions on the board—no extra cables or wires are needed, as it connects directly to the Raspberry Pi GPIO header.

The kit includes 4 stands, each fitted with three coloured LED lights, and all four stands can be controlled independently. An integrated buzzer can be used when the lights change, adding an audio element to your projects. Four roads marked with directions help simulate a realistic traffic intersection, making it ideal for educational demonstrations and coding practice.

No soldering is required—simply plug the traffic lights into the board. It is compatible with Pi Zero, Pi B+, Pi 2, and Pi 3 B/B+ models, and the 40-pin header boosts height for Pi B+, 2, or 3. Documentation and guides, including example files, are readily available to support your learning journey.
