This versatile paint requires very little preparation, as it can be applied over most previously coated surfaces. For best results, always test a small area first to ensure compatibility. It works exceptionally well on bare wood, hardboard, MDF, plaster, brickwork, and cement, producing a smooth, touch-friendly finish. However, it’s not suitable for direct application to metals—use over existing primers for metal instead.
For a shabby chic effect, apply multiple coats and lightly distress the surface with fine sandpaper or steel wool to highlight the texture and create a vintage, well-loved appearance.
