The Sika Sikaflex 591 is a premium, multi-purpose hybrid sealant engineered specifically for the demanding marine environment. Based on advanced Silane Terminated Polymer (STP) technology, it delivers exceptional elasticity, durability, and long-term performance against harsh maritime weathering conditions, including constant UV exposure, saltwater immersion, and extreme temperature fluctuations.

This sealant is designed for elastic, vibration-resistant joint sealing and performs a wide variety of interior and exterior bonding and sealing applications common in boat building and repair. It adheres strongly to a broad range of substrates used in the marine industry, such as GRP, wood, metals, and painted surfaces, creating a durable, watertight seal that moves with the vessel.

A significant advantage of Sikaflex 591 is its approval to meet the low spread of flame requirements (FTP Code Part 5) as set by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), making it a safe choice for critical applications.
