Engineered with bend-insensitive fibre and moulded strain reliefs, it supports cable runs requiring tight micro/macro bends while maintaining low attenuation, ensuring stable signal integrity in space-constrained installations.
The OM5 cable supports Shortwave Wavelength Division Multiplexing (SWDM) across an extended VCSEL wavelength range of 850-953nm, enhancing signal quality and performance capacity over OM4 cables. It is also backward compatible with 50/125µm fibre equipment, ensuring seamless integration with legacy LANs and existing infrastructure. Ideal for use with 850-953nm VCSEL and 1300nm LED sources.
Housed in a LSZH (Low-Smoke, Zero-Halogen) flame-retardant jacket, this fibre optic cable minimises smoke, toxicity, and corrosion when exposed to extreme heat or fire, making it a safer choice for critical environments. The cable features UPC-polished ends for minimal return loss and is optimised for fibre switches, servers, SANs, and SFP+/QSFP+/QSFP28 transceivers.
