At the heart of the device is a responsive 4in touch screen with an 800 x 480 resolution, providing a clear interface for viewing live feeds and accessing menus. It supports testing of modern IP cameras alongside legacy analogue formats, including HD-TVI, HD-CVI, and AHD, with testing capabilities for cameras up to 8MP resolution.
Core Testing Features
- Network Diagnostics: Automatically detects all network cameras, supports ONVIF protocol for auto-login and image display, and can perform IP discovery to scan an entire network segment. It also includes Ping tests, IP address scanning, and port flashing.
- Cable Testing: Features a built-in RJ45 cable TDR (Time Domain Reflectometer) test and cable quality test, functioning as a UTP cable tester to verify network cable integrity.
- Power Supply: Provides versatile power output for connected devices, including 12V DC at 3A and 48V DC PoE (Power over Ethernet).
- Camera Control: Can test IP and CVBS (analogue) cameras and includes a PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) controller for configuring compatible units.
- Connectivity: Features built-in WiFi to display images from wireless cameras and can create its own WiFi hotspot. It also supports PPPOE dial testing for internet-connected cameras.
- Media Playback: Can play 4K video files and other media formats like MKV and MP4, useful for verifying recording quality.
