The Timco Applique Drop Down Seal offers innovative door sealing technology that activates upon door closing, creating an effective barrier against climate, noise, light, fire, smoke, and insects. The seal drops down only when the door is closed, ensuring a clear and flat threshold without requiring high fixed thresholds, making it ideal for compliance with Part E and Part M of UK building regulations for disability access and energy conservation.
Designed for retrofitting on timber door sets, this seal comes with screws included for easy installation. It can be fitted either on the inside (lock side) using the provided bumper or on the outside (non-lock side) as needed. The seal drops on the hinge side before the lock side, ensuring a secure fit every time.
Constructed with galvanised steel flat springs and reinforced actuators, this seal boasts durability and reliability. It features a 4-fin high-quality 'V' zero class PVC rubber seal, which is self-extinguishing for added safety. With a 14mm maximum drop, it provides excellent sealing performance.
