A2-304 stainless steel screws with double countersunk head for corrosion-resistant fixing in wood, MDF, & plastic. Pack of 20.
The Timco Classic Multi-Purpose Screws are crafted from A2 Austenitic Stainless Steel (304 grade), delivering superior corrosion resistance, making them ideal for applications in damp or corrosive environments. These screws are particularly suitable for fixing to softwoods, hardwoods (when pre-drilled), chipboard, MDF, and plastics. They are essential for use with naturally corrosive materials like green oak.
The double countersunk head design reduces the risk of head shear and facilitates easier countersinking. These screws feature a 40° deep single thread that ensures secure fixing with high pull-out resistance, and they're surface-hardened to 750 HV to prevent torque shearing under load. For improved ductility, the core hardness reaches 450 HV.
A single slash on screws 25mm and longer helps reduce torque and minimise wood splitting when installed near edges. Sizes up to 75mm are fully threaded, while those 80mm and above have a 70mm thread length.
