Timco HD Bent Restraint Strap - 1500/100
Galvanised steel HD bent restraint strap for timber-to-masonry horizontal restraint. Complies with Building Regulations BS 5268-3.
The Timco HD Bent Restraint Strap is an essential, high-strength component for securing structural timber to masonry in accordance with UK building standards. Designed specifically to meet The Building Regulations BS 5268: Part 3 and other key construction standards, this galvanised steel strap provides reliable horizontal restraint for roof trusses, rafters, and floor joists.
Manufactured from robust carbon steel and finished with a protective galvanised coating, this strap offers an exceptionally high level of corrosion resistance. This ensures long-term structural integrity and durability, even in challenging, exposed building environments. Its heavy-duty 'bent' design allows for secure and effective installation in standard construction scenarios, helping to tie timber frameworks firmly back to load-bearing brick or block walls.
Correct horizontal restraint is a critical safety feature in modern construction, preventing lateral movement and enhancing the overall stability of the roof and floor structures. This heavy-duty strap is engineered for strength and ease of use, making it a trusted choice for professional builders, carpenters, and structural engineers on both new-build and refurbishment projects. Its pre-formed bend facilitates a straightforward installation process, saving valuable time on site while ensuring compliance with building control requirements.
