Timco Wing-Tip Self-Drilling Countersunk PH Screws feature an intelligent design ideal for attaching wood to light section steel (max. 5mm thickness). These screws feature coarse self-tapping threads with innovative wings that ream out the timber first, allowing the screw to achieve maximum RPM without burning out. When the wings contact the metal, they fracture cleanly to permit the screw thread to self-tap into the metal substrate.
The hardened carbon steel construction with zinc plating provides excellent corrosion resistance and durability. The Phillips (PH) recess offers good tool engagement, while the countersunk head with ribs ensures a flush finish minimising surface protrusion.
