The VISHAY Standard Recovery Diode is a high-power electronic component engineered for demanding rectification tasks. Featuring a robust axial plastic rectifier design with a void-free moulded epoxy body, it ensures superior environmental protection and long-term reliability. The matte tin-plated leads offer excellent solderability for secure and durable connections in circuit assemblies.

This diode is characterised by a low forward voltage drop, maximising efficiency by minimising power loss during operation. It boasts a high forward current capability of 6A and an exceptional forward surge capability, handling peak currents up to 400A, making it resilient against inrush currents and transient overloads. Its typical reverse leakage current is a low 0.1μA, contributing to stable performance and reduced standby power consumption.

The component's 2.5µs reverse recovery time makes it a standard recovery type, suitable for a wide array of medium-frequency switching applications. It is supplied in the industry-standard P600 case style with two axial leads, and the cathode is clearly marked by a polarity band for correct and foolproof installation. With a maximum operating temperature of 150°C, it is built to perform reliably in challenging thermal environments.
