The ATMEL 28C256 Parallel EEPROM is a high-performance 256K (32K x 8-bit) paged parallel memory device presented in a 28-pin DIP package. Its 256K of memory is organised as 32,768 words by 8 bits, offering a reliable storage solution for your electronic projects. Manufactured with advanced non-volatile CMOS technology, this EEPROM provides an access time of 150ns with a power dissipation of just 440mW, and a CMOS standby current of less than 200μA when deselected.
This device is accessed like static RAM for read or write cycles without the need for external components. It features a 64-byte page register that allows writing of up to 64 bytes simultaneously, alongside internal error correction for extended endurance and improved data retention. Additionally, the device includes an extra 64 bytes of EEPROM specifically for device identification or tracking.
