Audio-Technica MB2k Handheld/Stand Hypercardioid Dynamic Instrument Microphone

Audio-Technica MB2k Handheld/Stand Hypercardioid Dynamic Instrument Microphone is a unidirectional dynamic microphone for live and studio use, with a hypercardioid polar pattern and a frequency response of 60Hz – 14kHz.

Overview

The Audio-Technica MB2k is part of the Midnight Blue Series. Its unidirectional hypercardioid dynamic element provides off-axis rejection and feedback control, and it is designed for both live and studio settings. The rugged, all-metal body is paired with a soft-touch finish that is intended to reduce handling noise. The MagnaLock switch design provides silent on/off operation, and a Hi-Energy neodymium magnet structure supports maximum output and fast transient response. The microphone weighs 620 g.
