The Bentley AT-012 Mains and Volt Free Relay is a sophisticated and versatile switching device designed to provide robust control within security and automation systems. Engineered by Bentley Security Projects, it offers a dual switching capability in a single compact unit, housed in a supplied Wiska 308 enclosure for immediate and protected installation.

This relay is specifically designed to be activated by a Reed switch or any other low-current, mains-rated switch. Upon activation, it performs two key functions simultaneously: it provides mains voltage output through its single-pole normally open (SPNO) contacts and also operates a set of volt-free changeover (SPDT) contacts. This makes it exceptionally useful for applications where you need to control a mains-powered device while also sending a clean, isolated signal to trigger another component, such as a security communicator or alarm panel.

The design ensures safe and reliable operation. The relay will only activate when the contacts on the switch input are closed. Once activated, mains voltage appears on the dedicated 'Mains Out' terminals, and the volt-free contacts change state. A critical feature is the low operating current required at the switch terminals (less than 8mA), which means even a standard, sensitive reed switch can safely activate both internal relays without risk of overload.
