It contains an AlGaAs LED that is optically coupled to an integrated circuit with a power output stage. This device is ideally suited for driving power IGBTs and MOSFETs in motor control inverter applications.
The high operating voltage range of the output stage provides the necessary drive voltages for gate-controlled devices. It eliminates the need for negative gate drive and includes undervoltage lock-out protection (UVLO) with hysteresis for enhanced reliability. With a maximum switching speed of 500ns and an industrial temperature range of -40°C to 100°C, this optocoupler delivers robust performance in demanding environments.
