CAL CONTROLS Temperature Controller, Relay / SSR

The CAL Series Temperature Controller is designed for reliability and ease of use in demanding applications, including plastics, packaging, drying, and laboratory equipment. It features integrated auto-tune for simple and efficient P.I.D. control, alongside a unique dAC function that minimises overshoot problems commonly associated with conventional P.I.D. controllers.

Key Features and Functionality

This controller boasts a bright LED 4-digit display, configurable to °C/°F and engineering units with zero span adjustments. It offers selectable inputs for thermocouple, RTD/PT100, and linear process, providing versatile compatibility. The dual output supports heat/cool operation, featuring both 2A relay and SSR outputs. For communication, RS232 and RS485 options are available to connect to a PC or PLC. The ramp/soak function allows for controlled warm-up and timed temperature soaking.

Design and Compliance

Designed for practical installation, it features sleeve mounting for easy servicing and fitting of the communication board. Positive-feel buttons and helpful menus speed up the set-up process. The unit is fully CE compliant with an IP66/NEMA4 fascia, and is UL Recognised and CSA approved. It operates on a supply voltage of 110/240VAC and features compact dimensions of 43 mm x 33 mm x 15 mm, weighing 220 grams.
