The DIALIGHT Bi-Level Light Pipe provides an efficient and reliable method for transferring LED status indicators from the surface of a printed circuit board (PCB) to a device's front panel. Featuring a dual-element design with two 3mm diameter light pipes, this unit is engineered for high-visibility and robust performance in a wide range of electronic applications.

Crafted from high-transmissive polycarbonate material, the light pipes ensure maximum light output with minimal attenuation, delivering bright and clear status indications. The material is UL94V-0 compliant, offering excellent flame retardancy for enhanced safety in sensitive environments. An integrated ESD protection feature electrically isolates the circuit from the front panel, safeguarding sensitive components from electrostatic discharge.

Designed for easy and secure installation, the light pipes utilise a press-fit mounting method, eliminating the need for adhesives or additional hardware and ensuring a stable connection to the PCB. The configuration places each element 2.54mm from the PCB surface and spaces them 5.08mm apart, with a recommended minimum mounting pitch of 5.08mm between elements. This bi-level arrangement, combined with a wide viewing angle, ensures the status lights are easily visible from various positions.

Built to withstand demanding conditions, the light pipe operates reliably across a broad temperature range from -30°C to +100°C. It also boasts a high oxygen index of 35%, contributing to its flame-retardant properties. The transparent colour and circular shape of the pipes make them a versatile and discreet component for modern electronic assemblies, providing essential functionality without compromising on design or safety.
