The ERG COMPONENTS SDD Series SpectraDIL DIP Switch provides a reliable and versatile solution for programme setting and circuit configuration in a wide range of electronic applications. This ganged on/off DIL (Dual In-line Package) switch is engineered for high performance, featuring a base sealed for flow soldering and 1µm hard gold-plated wiping contacts. This construction ensures high reliability, even in low-level signal circuits, by maintaining excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance.

A key feature of this switch series is its 'end-stacking' capability, allowing multiple units to be placed adjacent to each other without missing a pitch. This design is ideal for creating custom switch banks or expanding the number of available circuits in a compact footprint on a printed circuit board (PCB). The through-hole mounting provides a robust and secure mechanical connection for wave or hand soldering processes.

Technical Performance

With a contact configuration of SPDT (Single Pole, Double Throw), each of the four circuits can direct a signal to one of two paths. The switch is rated for a maximum DC voltage of 100V and a maximum DC current of 1A. It boasts impressive electrical insulation, with a resistance of 10,000 MΩ at 500VDC and a dielectric strength of 500Vrms for one minute at 50Hz. The capacitance between open contacts is less than 1pF at 1kHz, minimising signal interference. Built to operate in demanding conditions, it has a wide operating temperature range from -55°C to +100°C.

The compact slide actuator style allows for easy manual switching in confined spaces, making it suitable for both prototyping and final product assembly.
