At its core, the cable features the FT232RQ USB to serial UART interface IC, which efficiently manages all USB signalling and protocols. This USB 2.0 full-speed compatible cable supports FTDIChip-ID, incorporating a unique USB serial number programmed into the FT232R for secure and traceable connections. Pre-installed USB drivers allow the converter to emulate a virtual COM port (VCP) for simplified connectivity.
