HIRSCHMANN Shatterproof Test Probe, 30V AC/60V DC, 1A - Black

The HIRSCHMANN PRUEF 2 Series Shatterproof Test Probe is a robust and reliable accessory designed for safe and accurate electrical testing. Engineered for the demanding environments of test and measurement, this probe features a durable PP (polypropylene) housing that withstands normal environmental conditions from -5°C to +40°C, ensuring consistent performance. Its defining feature is the shatter-proof insulated sleeve that protects the test tip, enhancing user safety by preventing accidental breakage and exposure.

At its core is a slender, penetrating stainless steel tip, engineered to pierce through insulation layers and oxide deposits on contact surfaces. This ensures a reliable electrical connection for accurate voltage readings. The probe terminates in a standard 4mm diameter brass socket, providing a secure and low-resistance connection compatible with a wide range of test leads and multimeters within the 4mm system.

Rated for voltages up to 30V AC or 60V DC and a current of 1A, this probe is classified under Measurement Category O (CAT O) according to IEC 61010 standards. This rating designates it for use on circuits that are not directly connected to the mains supply, such as electronic circuits, telecommunications equipment, and protected secondary circuits, making it a versatile tool for electronics technicians, engineers, and hobbyists.

For added convenience and tip protection during storage or transport, an optional tip protector is available as an accessory. The compact and ergonomic design, with dimensions of 43mm x 33mm x 15mm, offers a comfortable grip for precise probing of components on PCBs, terminals, and connectors. As part of the trusted HIRSCHMANN TEST AND MEASUREMENT range, this shatterproof test probe combines German engineering with practical safety features, delivering dependable service for diagnostic, development, and maintenance tasks across various low-voltage electrical applications.
