Hultafors Hults Bruk Åby Forest Axe, 700g Head, 610mm Handle
Hand-forged Swedish forest axe for shelter building and firewood. 700g head, 610mm hickory handle. Includes leather sheath.
The Hultafors Hults Bruk Åby Forest Axe is a beautifully crafted hybrid axe, designed for versatility in various outdoor tasks. Perfect for shelter building, firewood processing, and precision carving, this axe combines functionality with traditional craftsmanship. The long, thin ergonomic handle made from American hickory is treated with linseed oil for enhanced durability, offering a comfortable grip while maintaining a lightweight feel for powerful strikes.
Hand forged from high-quality Swedish steel, the axe head undergoes a meticulous forging process where it is struck 40–60 times to increase density and durability. The straight edge and slight convex grind provide excellent cutting efficiency, while the finger notch below the head ensures increased precision during detailed work. Delivered sharpened, polished, and ready to use, it comes with a protective leather axe sheath for safe storage and transport.
The Åby Forest Axe is named after the nearby village of Åby, where many workers of Hults Bruk lived during the mid-20th century. This axe is a tribute to traditional Swedish craftsmanship and is built to last.
