The Infineon Dual-Channel Gate Driver IC is a high-performance, surface-mount component engineered for precise control of power switches. Designed with robust CMOS Schmitt-triggered inputs featuring internal pull-down resistors, it ensures reliable logic-level interfacing and superior noise immunity in demanding electronic environments.

This driver is configured for both high-side and low-side applications, making it a versatile solution for half-bridge and full-bridge topologies commonly used in motor drives, switch-mode power supplies, and DC-DC converters. It offers matched propagation delays for both channels, which is critical for maintaining timing accuracy and preventing shoot-through in bridge circuits, thereby enhancing system efficiency and safety.

Key protective features include an undervoltage lockout (UVLO) for each channel, safeguarding your power switches by ensuring the driver only operates within a safe voltage range. With a cycle-by-cycle edge-triggered shutdown logic, it allows for rapid fault response, enabling immediate protection of connected MOSFETs or IGBTs. The outputs are in-phase with the inputs for straightforward system design. Capable of delivering a peak output current of 2.5A, it can swiftly charge and discharge large gate capacitances, minimising switching losses and improving thermal performance.

Housed in a compact SOIC-16 package, it is ideal for space-constrained PCB layouts. Its wide operating temperature range from -40°C to 125°C ensures reliable performance in industrial, automotive, and consumer applications where environmental conditions can be extreme.
