Infineon NovalithIC™ Half Bridge Motor Driver, 8V-18V, 42A output. AEC-Q100 qualified for brushed DC motor applications.
The INFINEON NovalithIC™ Integrated High Current PN Half Bridge is designed for motor drive applications, containing one p-channel high-side MOSFET and one n-channel low-side MOSFET with an integrated driver IC in a single package. Due to the p-channel high-side switch, the need for a charge pump is eliminated, thereby minimising electromagnetic interference (EMI).
Interfacing to a microcontroller is simplified by the integrated driver IC, which features logic level inputs, diagnosis with current sense, slew rate adjustment, dead time generation, and comprehensive protection against overtemperature, undervoltage, overcurrent, and short circuits. It provides a cost-optimised solution for protected high-current PWM motor drives with very low board space consumption.
Key Features and Benefits
This half-bridge motor driver supports brushed DC motors and offers a single output capable of delivering up to 42A, making it a robust choice for demanding applications.
