Intersil CA3240EZ Dual BiMOS Op Amp DIP-8 4.5MHz

The Intersil CA3240EZ Dual BiMOS Op Amp is a dual operational amplifier with a gain bandwidth product of 4.5 MHz, designed for a wide range of analogue applications.

The device combines MOSFET and bipolar transistors on a single monolithic chip. Its gate-protected PMOS input stage provides a very high input impedance of typically 1.5 TΩ, which minimises loading on the signal source. The bipolar output stage allows a wide output voltage swing and delivers a strong output current.

Key Features

• Internally compensated, simplifying circuit design
• MOSFET input stage with very high input impedance (typically 1.5 TΩ)
• Gain bandwidth product of 4.5 MHz
• Typical slew rate of 9 V/µs
• Supply voltage range of 4 V to 36 V
• Standard DIP-8 (8-pin) package
• Directly replaces industry-standard 741 op amps in most applications

Applications

The CA3240EZ is suitable for use in automotive, portable devices, sensing instrumentation, and power management. It is also suitable for both prototyping and production.

Handling

This device is ESD sensitive. Proper electrostatic discharge precautions should be observed during handling and installation to prevent damage. Choose the Intersil CA3240EZ Dual BiMOS Op Amp when a dual op amp with a 4.5 MHz gain bandwidth and a 4 V to 36 V supply range is required in a DIP-8 package.
