0.01 µF, 50V MLCC with flexible termination, C0G/NP0 dielectric, ±1% tolerance, 0805 package. 5mm flex-bend capability.
This KEMET Flexible Termination (FT-CAP) MLCC features a C0G/NP0 dielectric, offering 0.01 µF capacitance with a 50V DC rating in an 0805 (2012 Metric) package. Its key innovation is a flexible termination system that integrates a conductive silver epoxy layer, providing up to 5 mm flex-bend capability. This design effectively mitigates flex cracks, a primary failure mode in MLCCs, which often arise from board flexure and thermal cycling.
The FT-CAP technology inhibits stress transfer to the rigid ceramic body, reducing risks of low insulation resistance or short-circuit failures. It boasts high thermal stability, with capacitance change limited to ±30 ppm/°C across the full operating range. This component is non-polar, simplifying installation, and supports high ripple current without generating piezoelectric noise. It operates reliably from −55°C to +125°C.
