The KEMET PME271M Series Safety Capacitor is constructed from multi-layer metallised paper, encapsulated and impregnated in self-extinguishing material that meets the requirements of UL 94 V-0. Designed for reliability, this component offers excellent self-healing properties and high dV/dt capability, ensuring robust performance in demanding electrical environments.
This safety capacitor is specifically engineered for worldwide use in electromagnetic interference (EMI) suppression across all X2 and across-the-line applications. It is RoHS compliant and features lead-free terminations, supporting modern environmental standards. Each unit undergoes a 100% screening factory test at 2150 VDC for quality control.
