The Kitronik Air Quality Datalogging Board provides a complete air monitoring and reporting solution for the Raspberry Pi Pico. It is equipped with a full suite of sensors for temperature, pressure, humidity, air quality, and eCO2 measurement, along with an OLED display, piezo buzzer, and three ZIP LEDs for data presentation.
This board is built around the BME688 environmental sensor for accurate measurements. It offers a range of inputs, including ADC analogue GND connections and two buttons for user interaction. Multiple outputs are supported, featuring two high-power outputs, servo, and extension connections. A high-contrast monochrome OLED display with 128x64 resolution provides clear visual feedback.
The board utilises the RTC and flash memory of the Pico for time-stamping. A custom MicroPython module is available for programming. Female headers allow direct connection—simply slot the Pico in and you're ready to go. The Pico's regulated 3V supply powers the BME688 and OLED display. Power is provided via a built-in 3x AA battery holder or terminal block connection. The terminal block can also accommodate an optional solar cell for longer-running experiments.
