Littelfuse PolySwitch RXEF Resettable Fuse PPTC 72V DC 750mA

The Littelfuse PolySwitch RXEF Resettable Fuse is a 750mA PPTC device rated at 72V DC, designed for overcurrent protection in a wide range of electronic applications.

Overview

This radial-leaded PolySwitch device is a Polymeric Positive Temperature Coefficient (PPTC) component. It automatically resets after a fault condition is cleared, which removes the need for manual replacement and can reduce maintenance costs. The device is constructed with a cured, flame-retardant epoxy polymer insulation that meets the UL 94V-0 flammability standard.

Key Features

• 72V DC voltage rating
• 750mA holding current and 1.5A trip current
• Maximum fault current rating of 40A
• Typical time to trip of 6.3 seconds
• Operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C
• Automatic reset after fault condition is cleared
• Cured, flame-retardant epoxy polymer insulation rated UL 94V-0

Dimensions

The compact, round form factor measures 10.2 mm in diameter and 15.2 mm in height, with a 5.8 mm lead spacing for straightforward integration into circuit designs.

Applications

The fuse is commonly used in satellite video receivers, industrial control systems, transformers and power supplies, computer motherboards and peripherals, modems, USB hubs, and IEEE 1394 ports, CD-ROM drives and gaming consoles, battery packs and mobile phones, and fax machines, printers, and line cards. It is suitable for both industrial and consumer electronics exposed to harsh conditions.

Certifications

The RXEF series is designed for high-volume electronics assembly. It is UL recognised to UL 1434, CSA approved, TUV approved to EN 60730-1, and CQC approved to relevant GB standards.
