The MENTOR Light Guide features a transparent, circular-shaped pipe designed for surface mounting. Engineered for versatility, this light guide accommodates variations with SMD TOPLEDs or SMD CHIPLEDs, making it suitable for a wide range of electronic applications.
Installation is straightforward; the light guide is assembled by simply pressing it into the front panel drilling. It can be seamlessly combined with LED type displays that feature even surfaces, providing phased visualisation and a flush fastening to the front panel for a clean, professional finish.
Constructed from clear PC LL-material, the component meets the UL94V-0 flammability rating, ensuring a high standard of safety. It also offers robust ESD protection, ranging from 10 to 12kV. The ESD resistance reaches 10kV for a length of 4.5mm, increasing by approximately 1kV for every additional millimetre of length, which effectively safeguards sensitive electronics from static discharge.
