The MICROCHIP 2K Bit Serial EEPROM offers reliable data storage with a pre-programmed globally unique 48-bit node address, ensuring seamless integration into networked environments. Designed for efficiency, this Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory is accessed via a simple Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) compatible bus, requiring only a clock input (SCK), data in (SI), and data out (SO) lines.
Access is managed through a chip select (CS) input, while communication can be paused using the hold pin (HOLD). This allows the host to service higher priority interrupts without disrupting the data flow. Built with low-power CMOS technology, it features a maximum clock frequency of 10MHz.
Advanced Data Protection
This EEPROM ensures data integrity with self-timed erase and write cycles (5ms maximum) and block write protection capabilities, allowing you to protect none, a quarter, half, or the entire array. Additional security features include a built-in write protection circuit, power-on/off data protection, a write enable latch, and a write-protect pin. It boasts high reliability with an endurance of 1,000,000 erase/write cycles, data retention exceeding 200 years, and 4000V ESD protection.
With a supply voltage range of 1.8V to 5.5V and an operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C, this surface-mount SOT-23 device is perfectly suited for demanding applications across various industries.
