Microchip MCP1702 fixed LDO regulator: 3.3V, 250mA, low quiescent current. Ideal for battery-powered devices.
The Microchip MCP1702T-3302E/CB is a low quiescent current, low dropout (LDO) voltage regulator. It provides a fixed 3.3V output and is capable of delivering up to 250mA. Housed in a compact 3-pin SOT-23A package, the MCP1702 is specifically designed for battery-powered applications.
With a typical quiescent current of just 2μA, this regulator is an ideal choice for extending battery life in portable devices. It supports a wide input voltage range from 2.7V to 13.2V, making it suitable for two to six primary cell batteries, 9V alkaline, and one or two cell Li-Ion powered systems.
The MCP1702 offers excellent output voltage accuracy, with a typical tolerance of ±0.4% at +25°C and ±3% maximum over the full operating junction temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. It is stable with a small 1μF output capacitor, though it can also work with capacitances up to 22μF.
