NEKTAR Impact GX61 61-Key USB MIDI Keyboard Controller

The NEKTAR Impact GX61 is a dynamic and expressive USB MIDI keyboard controller, tailored for composition and performance with your computer music system. Featuring a 61-note (5 octaves) full-sized velocity-sensitive keyboard, this compact controller is comfortable in front of a computer and delivers powerful functionality for capturing ideas as soon as inspiration strikes.

Equipped with a straightforward interface, the Impact GX61 offers a great workflow. It features 8 buttons that extend functionality to include control over transport and other essential DAW functions. A primary and secondary message can be programmed for each of the 7 buttons, delivering 14 programmable options in total. The setup menu also enables Program messages and Bank LSB/MSB to be sent out on the fly, alongside settings for selecting one of the 4 velocity curves.

Nektar DAW integration is carefully crafted to provide a streamlined experience with your hardware. It is compatible with all major DAWs and control apps, including Logic, Bitwig Studio, Cubase, Digital Performer, GarageBand, FL Studio, Reason, Reaper, Sonar, and Studio One. The Impact GX61 can be used as both a MIDI controller and a DAW controller, with specific integration supporting Bitwig 8-Track for a highly effective setup.

As a low-powered USB device, the controller works with all USB devices featuring a Class compliant MIDI driver, including Windows XP and higher, Apple OS X 10.5 and higher, plus Linux. It can also be connected to an iPad using the optional Apple Camera Connection Kit (not supplied), powered directly by the iPad for music creation on the go.
