NXP CAN transceiver for 24V systems, up to 1MBd. Ideal for trucks and buses with thermal protection and slope control.
The NXP CAN Transceiver for 24V Systems serves as a reliable interface between a CAN protocol controller and the physical bus. Designed for high-speed applications up to 1 MBd, it provides differential transmit capability to the bus and differential receive capability to the CAN controller, making it particularly suitable for use in commercial vehicles.
This transceiver is fully compatible with the ISO 11898-24 V standard. It features slope control to effectively reduce Radio Frequency Interference (RFI), alongside high immunity against electromagnetic interference. Safety and durability are enhanced by thermal protection and short-circuit proofing to both battery and ground in 24V powered systems.
For power efficiency, the device offers a low-current standby mode, and an unpowered node will not disturb the bus lines. It supports connections of at least 110 nodes at high speed. Housed in an 8-lead plastic small outline package (SOIC), the device operates reliably in ambient temperatures ranging from -40°C to 125°C.
