The PIMORI OnOff SHIM Board provides a simple and elegant solution for adding a proper power switch to your Raspberry Pi. By connecting a power supply to the SHIM's micro-USB port, you can power, boot, and safely shut down your Pi with a single button press, eliminating the need to physically connect and disconnect the power cable.

This compact and slim-profile board is designed for unobtrusive mounting, soldering directly onto the GPIO pins of your Raspberry Pi. Its low-profile design means it can be used in conjunction with other HATs and pHATs, making it an ideal addition to any Pi project where a neat and controlled power solution is required.

Key features include a red status LED for visual power indication and breakout pins that allow you to connect an external momentary button for custom installation. The board is robust, supporting power supplies of up to 2.5A to ensure stable operation for power-hungry Pi models and peripherals. A dedicated software daemon ensures your Raspberry Pi performs a clean, software-controlled shutdown when the button is pressed, protecting your SD card and data from corruption.

The kit includes a 2x6 female header for easy connection. Please note that soldering is required to attach the SHIM to your Raspberry Pi's GPIO header.
