PIMORONI Automation HAT Mini Board for Raspberry Pi

The PIMORONI Automation HAT Mini is a compact and powerful solution for monitoring and controlling low-voltage (12–24V) systems in domestic and automotive environments. Designed with robustness in mind, all its inputs and outputs are 24V tolerant, providing a safe interface for a wide range of sensors and actuators.

A standout feature is its full-colour 0.96-inch IPS LCD display (160x80 resolution), which offers clear, at-a-glance status feedback for your system. This visual interface is perfect for debugging and monitoring your projects without needing to connect to a separate screen.

The board is packed with versatile I/O capabilities. It includes three 12-bit analogue inputs (0–24V) for precise sensor reading, three 24V tolerant buffered digital inputs, and three 24V tolerant sinking outputs capable of sinking a maximum of 500mA total. For switching higher loads, it features a robust 24V @ 2A relay with both Normally Closed (NC) and Normally Open (NO) terminals.

Connection is made easy with 3.5mm screw terminals, and an additional breakout header on the underside allows for seamless integration with other PIMoroni breakout boards. The board comes in the convenient Mini HAT format with a pre-attached solderless header, ensuring quick and easy installation on any Raspberry Pi model with a 40-pin GPIO header. Comprehensive control is provided through a dedicated and well-documented Python software library.

Important Usage Notes: The Automation HAT Mini is designed for low-voltage applications only. It must not be used to switch mains voltages. For correct operation, loads for the sinking outputs should be switched on the ground side, while the relay can tolerate up to 2A and should be switched on the high side.
