Proto-Advantage uMAX-8 / uSOP-8 / MSOP-8 to DIP-8 SMT Adaptor

The Proto-Advantage PA0026C is a precision surface mount adaptor from the Chip Quik Compact Series. Designed to bridge the gap between modern, fine-pitch components and traditional breadboard or socket interfaces, this adaptor converts a uMAX-8, uSOP-8, or MSOP-8 footprint with a 0.65mm pin pitch to a standard DIP-8 (300 mil body width) configuration with a 0.1-inch pin pitch. This enables easy prototyping, testing, and integration of compact surface-mount devices into through-hole environments.

Crafted for reliability and performance, the adaptor features high-quality, gold-plated machine pins pre-installed on the bottom side. The plating consists of 1 micron of gold over 50 microns of nickel, providing excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance. The pins have a diameter of 0.46mm and a length of 3mm. They are installed using a robust surface mount with partial through-hole technology, ensuring exceptional positional accuracy and mechanical strength for repeated insertions and removals.

The board itself is constructed from FR-4 material with a UL94V-0 flammability rating, denoting a high standard of safety and durability.
