MakerPad Pro SmartScreen with WiFi & Camera

The MakerPad Pro SmartScreen is a versatile, all-in-one development platform designed to be the centrepiece of a wide range of Internet of Things (IoT) and creative electronics projects. Powered by the robust ESP32 architecture, this compact board integrates a high-resolution colour touchscreen display, a camera module, and comprehensive wireless connectivity into a single, easy-to-use unit.

At its heart is the ESP-WROVER-B module, featuring Xtensa® 32-bit LX6 microprocessors. It offers substantial memory for complex applications with 448KB ROM, 520KB SRAM, 8MB of flash storage, and 8MB of PSRAM. The user interface is built around a vibrant 3.5-inch capacitive touch panel, providing an intuitive way to capture input and control your projects. This is paired with a sharp 65K RGB TFT display boasting a resolution of 320x480 pixels for clear, colourful visuals.

A key feature is the integrated OV2640 2-megapixel camera with a 1/4-inch lens, enabling advanced vision-based functionality for more ambitious creations. The camera supports various image sizes including UXGA, SXGA, and SVGA, and can scale down to resolutions as small as 40x30. For projects not requiring the camera, GPIO pin breakouts are provided, allowing you to connect a vast array of additional sensors, actuators, and peripherals to expand the board's capabilities.

Wireless communication is handled by WiFi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth v4.2 BR/EDR/LE, making it simple to connect your project to local networks, the internet, or other Bluetooth devices. Onboard storage is available via a MicroSD card slot, while a modern USB-C interface provides both connectivity and power. A dedicated boot/reset button ensures straightforward programming and device management.
