Scribe-Master SMJIG ESMOOTH Planing Jig for Woodworking
Versatile Scribe-Master planing jig for flattening, surfacing & trenching. Handles materials up to 400mm wide. Ideal for woodworkers.
The Scribe-Master SMJIG ESMOOTH Planing Jig is a versatile tool designed for flattening, surfacing, planing, and trenching work on wide or irregularly shaped materials. Its advanced features make it an essential addition to any woodworker's toolkit.
This planing jig excels in handling wider surfaces, capable of flattening stock up to 400 mm wide. The depth of cut is easily controlled using the plunge and depth settings on your router, allowing for skimming cuts for fine work or deeper cuts for levelling and trench work. The free-flowing X/Y axis carriage facilitates smooth back-and-forth and up-and-down movement along the skids, ensuring precision in every operation.
Built for durability and accuracy, the jig is manufactured from high-pressure exterior-grade laminate. It features a 12 mm stainless steel cradle support that can handle routers weighing up to 7 Kg without bowing. The fixed-position cradle can be locked to the bars for single-axis movement, making it ideal for trenching cuts. The simple 30 mm guide bush location cradle ensures fast setup and removal, compatible with almost any router.
Additional Benefits:
- Modular design for easy storage in drawers or cupboards
